Ideas & Engineering
Curiosity needs room to work.
IDEA80 exists to explore what happens when independent thinking meets deliberate execution.
A useful idea doesn’t always fit a single discipline. Software can reveal a design problem. A physical constraint can suggest a better interface. An engineering trial can change the question entirely.
The mission is to turn those connections into something tangible: apps, inventions, designs and experiments that can be examined, questioned and improved.
Autonomy in direction. Care in the details.
Choose the question thoughtfully. Make the smallest prototype that can teach something. Separate evidence from expectation. Keep the reasoning visible, especially when an approach fails.
The first idea is a beginning—not an obligation to ignore a better one.
An independent point of view.
IDEA80 is founded by Dr. Parikshath Naidu, a dental clinician with over two decades of experience, known for leading key dental associations and a strong interest in technology, bringing a grounded, practical approach to everything he does.
He balances his practice with family life and a strong interest in technology, bringing a grounded, practical approach to everything he does.
A process, not a straight line.
Four modes of thinking. Move between them whenever the work asks for it.
I
Imagine
Think creatively. Explore possibilities before deciding what the answer should look like.
D
Design
Give a concept structure. Refine its form, its interactions and the details that make it understandable.
E
Experiment
Test a hypothesis. Learn from iterative trials, unexpected behavior and ideas that don’t hold up.
A
Assemble
Bring the parts together. Build a functional reality, then look closely at what it makes possible.
